1) Hoffman believed heavily in Socialist ideals and formed the Yippies to attempt to change society by saturating it with counterculture institutions.
2) During his early years, Hoffman was incredibly rebellious and did not like listening to authority. He would then later study Marxist theory in college which influenced his beliefs and ideals.
3)While he was protesting, Hoffman did not hold any official employment.
4)Hoffman agrees with Timothy Leary about drugs because Hoffman had been known to partake in LSD. My character also idolized John Lennon and his non-violent methods of protest and his overall ideologies. I would also find that my character would agree with Martin Luther King Jr. and his message of more rights for African Americans.
